Only if you're just throwing the whole bird in the oven, which I don't really like. If you're getting into cream and mushroom crepes or molé turkey imparts a strange flavour. Basically all the sauces I make turkey fucks with and I don't appreciate that. Who does turkey think they is?

1. Thanksgiving: Awful food culture to celebrate awful turns in human history and (even though I don't have this problem) an annual chance for most people to reaffirm that they sort of hate their families while nevertheless traveling great lengths to see them because of 'tradition' before throwing all that shit out the window to get a marginally better deal when everything goes "on sale" on Black Friday.
Shit sucks.
I agree OP. Good post.

I used to find Thanksgiving tolerable...even fun...but the whole having people come to work on Thursday for Black Friday (I never had a job where I had to do this) is completely disgusting.

Valentine's Day is the worst, whether you're alone or in a relationship. if you're alone it's incredibly depressing, and if you're with someone there's terrible pressure to come up with the perfect gift.
