Santana at Woodstock is unimpeachable.

And everything since is a stain on a blue dress.

This feels weird. :erm:

Gear: I mainly just use Fuzz, delay, reverb and tremolo, and I'm more or less sorted for all that, and I build fuzz pedals so that just makes things difficult unless it's something obscure/weird and extreme. Other stuff... Maybe a Rat style distortion? Or something weird, maybe pitch shiftery, octavy. Or a phaser or vibe? A DIY kit maybe. Although I could do with a decent clip-on tuner actually. And strings wouldn't be so bad either since I use fancy flatwounds (10 or 11's)

Music: Pretty much anything, but I love anything reverby, fuzzy. Jesus and Mary Chain, surf instrumentals, Angelo Badalamenti's stuff, that kind of thing. Also psych-folk oddness. The most recent gigs I've been to were Goat, Public Service Broadcasting, Anna Calvi, and I'll be seeing Mercury Rev and Godspeed... later this year. I listen BBC 6 Music a lot. Mainly Gideon Coe, Tom Ravenscroft, and Stuart McConie's freakzone. (I'm pretty sure you can access it via the BBC website anywhere in the world, but not 100% sure)

Clothes: S/M not really bothered though. A wooly winter beanie maybe is the only thing that comes to mind.

Misc: I'll be considering local music and art for my secret santa since the Sunderland/North East of the UK has plenty of that kind of thing, both historical and current, so likewise if you're from somewhere with some interesting local bands or artists of any kind, anything along those lines would be neat. Other than that... can't go wrong with coffee. I've never hallucinated before, so if my secret santa is from around Mexico, feel free to throw in some peyote*. I have enough butt plugs and butt lug lube to last me forever, so no butt plugs or butt plug lube.

*Winky face (no winky face) just kidding. Please don't. (maybe winky face?)

I should keep a running list of things that you claim are unimpeachable. You haven't been incorrect once...

What, I can't give a guy a compliment?

Better late than sever.

I'm afraid I'm might not be easy to buy for. Dunno, my wife always has trouble...

The easy stuff:

T's. XXL. Beefcake. [/cartman]

Consumables.  I'm a brave taster, but general don't dig mushrooms or questionable seafood.  Local fave bbq sauce, jam, something like that, bring it on.  If it's chocolate it's going right to mrs doommeow, dark preferred, but anything other than white is ok.

Gifts for the cats = you are a scholar and a gentleperson of fuzz.

Gear.  I posted my board recently so that should give you a starting point.  I'm set for dirt other than my grail fuzz, which is obvs if you know me.  There's one or two things out there dirt wise that I remain curious about - stalk.

Fav builders- Industrialectric, MTL.ASM, most anything Canadian.  Not at all opposed to diy or clones or even odd ball new fangled MIC stuff.

Points of personal curiosity- anything Industrialectric, cascading delays in a single box, mini 2 octave down pedals, exp/cv magic since I rarely use my expression pedals but have 6 pedals w cv/exp inputs, anything that'll help me bring the drone, anything that'll give motion and movement to my drone, violent hard tremolos, non chorus modulation that can self oscillate, inexpensive but quality power supplies for multiple modern digital schnizz, etc.   But you know all this cuz you're stalking me like Hannibal Lecter on his first trip to Whole Foods...

Books.  Sci fi. Really good sci fi, which I'm starting to think doesn't exist any more.  Seriously,  what was the last piece of sci fi that didn't rip at least a couple three ideas from Gibson, Dick, Asimov, or Dana Scully.  But I'll read pretty much anything if it's well written, holds my attention, and is prodominantly in English.

For media I'm 99% digital these days, living out of spotify and my kindle.  If you wanna drop stuff for my ears, CD is fine. I'm not cool enough to spin vinyl anymore.  Jazz, guitar violence, anyone that was a member or associate of Swans SY Branca Miles Trane Lungfish, stuff like Hecker Frost Pansonic, old school soul rnb and funk, most anything from NOLA, DC, Baltimore, Montreal. My car has become my office, so stuff to help me bop through NYC traffic is welcome.   Let's admit it, we're all snobs of one stripe or another, but I try to have big ears.

But really it's all about the spirit of the season, and the reason- Satan.  I'm happy to take part and celebrate.
