looks like that will be sweet. No baffle between the speakers though?

Whisk, I am working on it. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. Must go slow. No, that's by choice, I'm thinking it'll sound better this way since I'm not porting for the 15 at the bottom. If it doesn't it's nothing for me to open it up and drop one in.

There's a 418 in the works over here.
Moving on a geological timescale here though.
Being a broke ass student is a pain.

That'll be fucking awesome. I'm actually converting my original orange 215 cab into a 218 cab because it'll work and be beastly... and cause I can.

Also my 212 115 cab is completed:

AxAxSxS see if you can tell if the absence of the baffle is detrimental:

I feel you on that, all my DIY projects move like cold molasses, until I finally walk out into the shop and just start making sawdust, then it's over in a flash. Unless I have to repaint something...then it really slows down. I'm still slowly sanding down a bass body I built and messed up the sprayed poly paint job, a few minutes at a time every couple of weeks.

Thank you very much. I'm thrilled about it.

With my own pieces I usually give an hour or two each day depending on what all is lined up. It's very systematic. Usually what takes the most time is if I have to get something. like waiting on speakers and with this one it was more so in finding the right stain to use.

Very nice looking! Hard to judge sound as I have no reference point. Does not seem muddy at all. Would expect a bit more low end but I'd think that's more choice of amp, eq, guitar, personal preference, etc.

Build looks ace man. I'd be down for one if I had space.

I think the lack of low end is because of the camera / mic… at least I hope!

Yea it's more due to the camera, I'm going to mic it up tmwr putting the mic on each speaker and then blending them all after the fact with no eq or cleaning up. But thank you I appreciate the compliments on it. I'm very happy with the whole piece as it is and going to start a similar cab that's 412 now. Really just liking the height of it right now. after that 412 and a few others I have planned that I'm going to tolex of the standard box I'm going to work on a 415 or 612.

That's next on my agenda. Already have the budget together and made a parts and cut list.

SLK,

cab looks nice hombre. i'm not crazy about the front edged bezel or whatever you want to call it but i really like the color and the craftsmanship doesn't look like garbage.
plus 2x12 1x15 is awesome. vertical is double awesome.

edit to say: the bezel just looks very glossy, but I think that's the lighting.

Thank you! I'm glad the craftsmanship shows through even in the pictures. I made sure I took great care with it and I'm really loving the vertical lift it has as I've been

And I was about to ask what you didn't like about it but it is very glossy, I used a high gloss Polyurethane cause I like a shine on my woodwork. That comes from my job with working with it. But it is also how the light reflects on it all, it basically looks wet at all times. 2 coats of sand n seal and 4 coats of Poly. strong as fuck and shiney as fuck

also here is the cab miced out:

I have some plans drawn for those. They are plenty big.
