I thought ILF's #1 rule was don't be an asshole.
So, why are some of you guys being assholes to Matt?

Pretty much exactly what I was wondering. Matt has always been cool to me and is a great pedal builder. He came on here and genuinely tried to put his perspective across. Can't understand why this thread is reading like TGP now...

I didn't think anyone was being an asshole. There were 4 pages of everyone agreeing in the same discussion, then Matt came in and now there's 4 pages of everyone saying (and agreeing with) the opposite, because some people are taking opinions too offensively. I actually think being offended by someone's opinion is more "TGP" then anything else. But what do I know? Seemed like a decent, opinionated discussion for a while. I don't know what it is anymore
I still want to try a Tri-Pie 70's

I think we need to mellow out a bit. This is the 2nd time in a month that a builder has signed up to respond to our criticisms (the first being the Malekko Diabolik/JMJ situation). It's ok to be critical and have negative opinions about stuff, but we should try to remember that every pedal is the proud result of somebody's time and effort. Just because a builder isn't signed up on ILF doesn't give us the right to be assholes about their pedals.
[/preachy rant]
Carry on

No, actually went out of my way to make it as close to the same as possible...

And for the record, I'm a big boy. I can take any criticisms thrown my way.
As someone mentioned, I just wanted to get some thoughts across, I in no way meant that every should stop being critical.
So go ahead bash at will, no hard feelings.

I think he's talking about the washer for the vint/mod switch, how it has the breakoff tab.

That tab either needs a hole drilled for it to sit in or cut it off or get regular ones... They always cut my knuckles when they're turned up like that...
HM-2 was my first pedal when it was new, Mexi Tele > HM2 > '64 Bandmaster was my Shoegaze combo in '91...

This!
It's tough being in business! Sometimes you work hard, and people hate what you do. It's like any art form, and a fact of life...
Sometimes you gotta just put on your big boi trousers and learn. MVP- Lean Startup style yo! I'd never consider this... But at least Matt gave this a shot even if it doesn't work out as a long term W&C favorite.

Artwork could have been better? Wow, that's below the belt. Sorry, I like to keep it simple.
Yeah, that came off pretty dick-ish, sorry about that. Just a subjective observation, no offense intended, thinking aloud kinda thing. I've always enjoyed the simplicity of your aesthetic, this one just looks a little jumbled or off-balance or something. Meaningless really, how it looks. Moving on...
Anyway, you seem like a nice dude Matt and W&C offerings are def intriguing. Welcome and please do stick around, always nice to have more builders around ILF.

Thanks Matt. It's weird, it's almost like a three way switch with low gain, high gain and higher gain! Good fun for sure.
