Yeah dude, I find exercise helps heaps with my depression. Major birthdays with zeroes attached to them tend to have that effect as well. Its bullshit.

Wow Nick, sounds like you're killing it dude! :thumb:

lol kipping (swinging) pull ups are my friend, although they kill my skin on my hands. I really do need to get a pull up bar for the house and institute a policy involving crossing the door way and doing 1 strict pull up to pass through each time.

Day 2 of the rope burn. Hurts fuckin worse.

Nice today that I could just buy a half-chicken from the UConn and eat that for lunch. Sore today 2 so I will take it easy and im loosing my 3rd workout day this Saturday due to a wedding. Roll my back out today with the roller.

Tomorrow's WOD I wish I could do but cant due to scheduling:

“Mary”
20 minute AMRAP:
5 Handstand push-ups
10 Pistols
15 Pull-ups

well clearly you dont have them, using gloves will help you get more reps and such if thats your goal. if not then keep going youll toughen up aver time.

I just going to toughen my hands up. Reps are limited more because of fatigue then blistering.

Today's WOD

Warm Up:

PVC Pass Through x 10
PVC Overhead Squats x 15
20 Situps
5 Burpees
Hang Snatch with bar (45 lb bar) x 10

Skill:
Snatch Balance (I did this at 65 lb)

6 Rounds:
5 Power Snatch (135/95)
10 Hand-release Push-up
5 Toe to Bar

Pretty quick workout, 11:41 time. I did 65 lb on the snatch, a little light it seems but I was trying to nail the form down. After the workout I grabbed another person's bar and tried 85 lb. Not a problem weight wise even after the workout so likely I will go up to like 75-80 lb for the next one, assuming a similar rep scheme.

trying 235lbs for 1x5 on the deadlift tomorrow. The DL is prob my favorite lift of them all.

Deadlift is by far my weakest. I have chronic low back issues and my form sucks so I always end up hurting myself...bloody shins and crippled for days.

Edit: you guys can have those band names:
Bloody Shins
Crippled for Days

:p

the deadlift is the only lift out of the strongLifts 5x5 program that i have not stopped adding weight since i started. I could see myself adding another 20lbs before maxing out but im only adding 5lbs everytime i do it and on my last rep I add 5lbs more just for one lift.

Form can be easily corrected!! I had a compression fracture on my L1 vertebrae about 6 years ago. I barely started working out this year and my everyday back pain has gone away.

balls dude. Im glad the rope burn on my leg is healing up without signs of infection.

2 weeks out sucks a lot man, I think I lost 1 week to a vacation and it was a bummer. Doubly hard to WOD the day after I returned. Best of luck, rest up well.
