I kinda dig Yoshinoya. I never grew up on the West Coast though so I never really had great fast food to choose from. SteaknShake is pretty good, Chikfila too but they're shitholes. But if you ever go to the East Coast, don't listen to anybody who recommends ANYthing other than a sammich joint (no, Subway does NOT count). Subs are the absolute bomb in the Northeast, pulled pork in the Southeast, and even Florida has excellent sammich places. Philly cheesesteaks are good too but skip the bullshit "purist" cheez wiz garbage and get yours w onions and provolone. On the West Coast I would probably eat nothing but burritos.

yeah... subway is an insult to the word sub. i went to a quizno's once, that was pretty good for fastfood sammiches, a little overpriced tho.

The only American fast food I've had that's worth eating is Chipotle. It's way more delicious and far more healthy than just about anything else that's ubiquitous and fast. Although I've heard In-n-Out is awesome, but I've never even seen one in person.

I decided to try it out the other day... I'm a fan of subway in aus and always thought our serving portions were the same (with regards to meat) ie too much...

Wrong... easily 3x plus the meat. The phillysub I got... The guy has hand squashing 6 fat handfuls of the meat. I'm on the tailend of this trip Nd have eaten some huge amounts but this was the first time my wife spoke up and said err you're not eating all that...

When I was in highschool I worked at a Subway for a while.
For customers they have set portions of everything (8 slices of meat, 6 cheese, whatever) that you're supposed to use. As an employee it's whatever you want. Fucking BLT& M0AR B was my jam. You know it's good when you get a headache from eating the 3" thick mountain of bacon.
