On the other hand, anyone who likes Eddie Hazel and Duane Allman has a good ear.

i don't get it... i mean how do you come up with that?

but it's not hard to play in it
fucking jazz-rockers

I can play in 4/4 (is that the basic, normal one?) anything else confuses me immensely
I don't really do the theory time signatures junk I just play

exactly, i don't do it by theory, i just play it... i don't really have problem with difficult signatures, because i just remember the phrase and play it back

For some weird reason, a disproportionately large number of the riffs I write end up in 7/8. And I certainly don't intend to. It just happens.

i learned to play odd meter from listening to and playing Grateful Dead music...they have a number of songs in 7/4, 11/8, one in 10/4, alternating bars of 8 and 7, etc. One thing i used to love about their shows was seeing a sea of hippies blithely dancing along to 7/4.

http://webmetronome.com/?t=220&b=23&a=1 ... 0001000100Could be fun to play, but seems a bit annoying to me. I love working in odd time signatures, but I don't naturally play in anything but 4/4 and 3/4. I have to write in them intentionally if I want to fuck with them.

'The bass guitar is not a percussion instrument'
This coming from a guitarist that insists a bass guitar is solely there to fill in the low-frequencies that a skinny string guitar can't produce on its own. You know the type... "just play the root note!"... ass hole...
And he was a Primus fan when he said that... go figure.

I know, I know - plus the fact that when playing in odd time signatures there's surely at least one instrument doing alternative time signature or counter move at the same time.
