I always did admire them for rhyming "here i am" and "hurricane," though...only non-native English speakers or people with guts of steel can get away with that.

My parents still don't have power in SE CT, and have been told not to expect it until Monday. I overnighted them some headlamps so they don't kill each other fighting over the one they already have.
Those pictures of NY and NJ have been nuts, hopefully all you fuzzers in those areas are doin okay!

so my military base is in atlantic city and as a national guardsman in new jersey you figure i would get called up right? i sat around for days with no one calling me. when i finally got to my base, about three days after the storm i was told we were going to run a scheduled exercise anyhow. so there i am, laying on the ground, with a gas mask on pretending kim jong un is going to parachute down with a flamethrower of anthrax on my noggin while people, who live rightout side the gate have no power, food, or shelter. UFB. just FYI, sorry new jerseyites. FWIW my base did send out a contingent of people who basically sat at a ex-mental hospital (tx Reagan) and feed deer while waiting for a tasking that never arrived.
