thanks, i really appreciate all the feedback guys ...

buffed out and with 4mm black plate ( roundover edge ) - yes it's black and shiny under that brown paper ...

i seriously love this pickguard shape. ( the way it ignores the curvacious body edge and has a kind of typographic angularity ) ... having spent hours this week trying to finish up some drawings for new guitar designs ...

Damn, that might be the boldest and most awesome pickguard I've ever noticed. And well said. There is some stuff I don't like about the guitar as a whole, but the pickguard and the fender-style body is pure sex.

tapping holes for tuner screws and fretboard screws.
the fretboard is now epoxied to the neck and clamped up.
