You know, I just had an Orange AD30, and don't get me wrong, it's totally awesome, but I had to get rid of it. Not enough headroom (that's what I get for a 30 watter), and that tube rectifier added too much compression. Once again, the tube rectifier sag, especially when driving the low, sounded AWESOME, but it couldn't handle fuzzes, or any combination of more than one od/distortion/fuzz/boost. It would just become so squeezed and choked. And with all the delay I use, making a gaze-y wash was impossible, the compression caused my guitar to become TOO articulate if that makes sense.
Once again, not knocking the Orange, always dreamed of getting an Orange, glad I dropped 12 c-notes to get it, but I had to part with it to find something that could handle my array off effects. All and all, it had the finest distortion I've EVER heard on an amp. Totally unique and unmatched, just couldn't justify keeping it. One day...we'll meet again.
So now I have a JCM 800 2203, pics up eventually.

Adam, I love that set up. Good space solution for the Reverb. Is that a blues jr?

Yup, it's a blonde Blues Jr.
I need to build some sort of platform for the reverb unit because it doesn't fit on top of the amp, which is a problem during gigs. If it's on the floor, its just a matter of time before the springs crash (which sounds awesome if you're ready for it ).

Nice. I have a tweed BJ. Liked it as is but I swapped in some JJ tubes and a Weber 12A150-A and it sounds pretty amazing imo.
Good point about the Reverb. I've heard their a total blast when you give em a swift kick.

Just got this a week ago, and I couldn't ask for a better amp. It is stupid how awesome it is.

Excuse my silliness but it looks bigger than the non-tweed Blues jr. Do the tweed ones just have a thicker outside?

It might be just a weird camera angle... But then again, I've never seen a blonde and a tweed side-by-side.

Rock might have sucked a bit in the 80s but at least they knew how to make equipment. JCM 800 2203 and Fender 85.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
I have the junkiest amps ever...
Today I went to some garage sales and bought a cheap Crate practice amp like this:

Only difference is mine is all rickety, noisy (not to mention crackly), covered in dust, full of cobwebs (plus other assorted flotsam), and it's made my room smell vaguely of dust and cigarette smoke.
It was only $20, though, and it basically works, so I am okay with that... It'll make a great I-don't-care-much-if-it-gets-fucked amp...
Too bad it's not battery-powered as it could be a good Noise-buskin' amp... Any way to Frankenstein it into one? I would probably use it only for busking anyway, so I don't need to worry about wall power, I just wouldn't know how to go about making it work with a car battery, haha.

You can buy an cigarette lighter adapter for power from your car.
