Most definitely. I love films where the music is half the film and adds so much to the film instead of just being background noise or freak out moments.

yer. i think Pi was the first movie that i watched where the soundtrack was integral to the experiance. not in a Gotta Get Folks To Buy These Dope Tracks sort of way (only reason Judgement Night was any good was the mash up before there was mash up pairings on the not even connected to the movie "soundtrack"), but as a an actual SCORE, just as using full songs to set the mood.
didn't hurt that Aphex, Autechre and Massive Attack were on it.

Yeah Darren Aronofsky does make pretty good and chilling use of music in his films. Requiem for a Dream is pretty vivid in that matter.
Haven't seen The Wrestler or Black Swan yet, but they look pretty good.

It depends. On most of the Kurosawa movies, they're so well directed and acted, it's almost like I don't even see or need the subtitles.

I thought it was hilarious what someone is willing to do for a nice place to live. The gore was and intensity of the kills in the film made me cringe in spots...Especially the vacuum scene. Can't say more, don't want to ruin it for others. lol

I thought Pi was really cool too.
A couple movies I found really mind-fucky and unsettling were Primer and Triangle...

Yup, a while back. Hard to stay focused, but well worth it.
