Ok heres the secret on p 90s. if you know how to EQ they are the fucking baddest most brootal thing there is. I have no clue why. Im playing in d standard with some p 90s right now thru the ENGL fireball 100 and its so fucking heavy its astounding. Ive got ultra hot dual blade custom humbuckers tuned to A# and BKP warpigs and SD invaders tuned to G#.........got nothing on p 90s.

Also, im running an ISP decimator and its dead quiet. Get p 90s now and dont tell anyone, its a secret.
I make guitars and stuff, check it out at...

P90s for a jazz master sounds dope. I may just say fuck it and deal with the feedback and work it in some way

I'm really digging the aluma 90's I just got. I do wish I had another p90 equipped guit to compare the sound to though. Aso aren't p90s single coil? These came with the leads you would expect to see on a humbucker, as if you could wire them for coil tapping or whatever.

Hmm I wish modern Gibson weren't such crap, I would totally get a reissue melody maker with a p90

Yes P90's are single coils, but I believe the aluma 90's are made vastly different than other pickups. My Aluma J in my Jazz bass had the same thing going on

ill get on that bandwagon as well...I've now had my P90 SG for 3 months, and now i don't see the need for humbuckers. My other guitars sound flat compared to the SG.

as for feedback, at rehearsals the feedback is crazy with high gain, i may have a shielding issue, but in any case a noise gate will solve the problem, and you end up with an absolute tone machine...and don't even talk about clean parts, P90's kill that too!

P90 bandwagon is the best one to be on.
Ever since I put a p90 in the neck of the Jag I had from the pickup wizard here in Canada... Blew my mind.
P90's are the sweetest guitar pickup, in my opinion. I need to get back on the single coil train with bass.

mate on the right guitar they are immense...much bigger than humbuckers. You have to try them mate.

The other guitarist in band plays a Flying V with stock burstbuckers, and he sounds so flat compared to me, and we play through exactly the same rig.

Who is this pickup wizard of which you speak?

I love my Warpigs in my Monson. They react with the wood and everything just right and I'll probably never take em out. Have a P90 in the neck of my explorer that is pretty sexy though, I'll drop a bridge one in there at some point.

This is where I'm at with the china12

The paint job doesn't look that orangey in person but I'm considering a refin just cause I prefer a darker look.

The pickups are a HUGE improvement and I also shielded everything when they went in.
I definitely recommend getting some of the copper tape and hooking up your guitar if its not shielded, Juts cuts all the hum and background noise out and leaves just the pickups.
