Hey man, that looks sexy. Who makes it?

Those Stephen O'Malley chords where you like the high strings chime out just go on and on. What I was thinking of using the compressor for was to even things out when I do hybrid picking because the dynamics can be a bit hard to control but I've resolved myself to making that a practice issue and not a gear one.

Initially that's why I started using comp. My fingerstyle/hybrid picking is just weak as piss and its never something I've been disciplined enough to learn/practice to do properly. I found the comp really helped out in that area, which got me motivated for a while, but since I haven't been playing as much I kind of opt for what is fun/easy over something I have to grapple with.
It sucks because I like being able to pull off stuff that's out of my comfort zone a bit, but without a band environment to push me as a player I get kind of lazy.
So I don't use the comp much these days, but it might make a comeback.
They do thicken your sound up a bit, which is nice.

Its an Aussie brand...MI Audio Effects. They make really good amps and effect. You should check them out, they're prices seem to be ok in Australia.

I put mine between the pharoah and oath and it add som much definition without loosing any of what those pedals do. It's also awesome as a standalone which is how D uses it.

On to the SIMMS-WATTS-PORNOGRAPHY!!!!
Not my pics but it is now my amp :thumb:

I was amazed at how clean it is, looks like new aside from a few minor spots. I do wish I had the faceplate, maybe I could get one made?
I probably spent to much on it but my negotiation skills went to shit when I started trying it out.

That's fucking nice man. Must be older than my one as mine is all pcb rather than tag. Still need to figure out this cab that came with mine.

I'm pretty certain this has already been posted, but it might be worth another listen. I think this is their new drummer:

Hell yes to the etch! Moose, yeah mine is pre pcb orange plexi. Used it for the firt time tonight and it seemed like a bit to much crunch, 12ax7's in the pre, what are you using and how is it for you? Still had balls aplenty and sounded good.
Tonight was the last show we had scheduled. Boreal opened, one man drone project and although I don't normally go for that, the dude killed it. Sounded massive playing just a bari tele and minimal pedals. Good stuff. Against the grain are some hella cool dudes out of detroit and the just smashed it. Twin guitars, 6 string bass and motorhead'esque vibe. Made for a nice progression of escalation of force with us in the middle.
Time for a mini break and we plan to do some more writing.

Mate...if you get a chance to check out the amps let me know what they are like. I know i will have to move back to Oz in the next few years, and it would be good knowing that i could buy a good homegrown product.

All 12ax7/ECC83 in the pre in mine too, old Tungsram tubes. It's very very clean. Must get some nice gutshots up today.

I'm fucking excited to get started on this. My projects are starting to pile up.... Gotta finish the black dearmond, refinish the dirge telemaster and strip the tolex off my peavey and stain it as well. But this will def be an awesome project that will keep me in the house and close by the lil lady in the coming weeks. And it should sound bad ass!!!!

I'm thinking of a small pedal board of this, the supermoon, and a delay. I just cant figure out which delay I want yet.
