Did my first serious mtb ride of the season this weekend.

16 miles
3400 feet of climbing

Brutal. On the last big climb my calves cramped up something fierce and I couldn't ride more than 100 yards without resting/walking. Total beat down. Six months of SL 5x5 with virtually no cardio/endurance may have not been the best approach. :erm:

Need to drop about 8 lbs.

Ha ha. We actually climbed up a motorcross trail and as one guy passed me on his way down he yelled "your're going the wrong way!" They must think we're retarded...and we kinda are...it's pretty masochistic.

So I just walked out of my MMA gym for the last time after 4 years of blood, sweat and soul. I almost vomited on the way back, but I think that was because I didn't eat much ahead of time.
