I read Maus when I was in, uh, the fourth grade?
From what I recall, it was really good.

Is this to collect or to use? Most of those green Russian's don't really sound all that great but they've become collectible for some reason.

If you wanna save a lot of cash get one of the black russians that have the green circuit board in it. I had one a while back. Had it the same time as a Badascan. Badascan totally made the Russian muff sound weak and thin. Sounded good, but compared to the Badascan it seemed really hollow and lacked low end.

Don't get me wrong, the muff sounded great (I used it when I played bass in a d-beat hardcore band) but 200 bucks for a green muff is fucking dumb. I bought one in 96 brand new for 40 bucks. The supercollider with get into Russian muff territory too with a little tweaking.

damn, I thought you were getting a deal on it, yeah dude pass.
So I am going to look at a simms watts AP 100 MKII head tomorrow, Price is just shy of a G. You guys think it is worth that much? From what little info I can find its a loud clean pedal friendly amp with giant trannys. Sounds right up my alley. I just have no idea of the value.

Price seems right, most of the ones I see are in the UK (English company and all that) go for around 1K after you rock the currency conversion.
I know a couple of dudes over at TB have 'em, you should ask thur if you've got an account.
Also, FWIW: I sold my Black Russian to pay for my Supercollider--both of those pedals have since exploded in price.

cool, thanks man, the price thing has me worried as I know it needs a recap and maybe a cord. I can handle that but its still extra money in parts

Those black ones are the bubble font circuit which has less low end and just aren't near as nice as the Tall Fonts. Still keeping both though.
Ryan defo get the T60 but if you can at least try playing through the Tall Font.
