Treyt, if you get that amp please do NOT attempt to fasten the transformer with JB Weld. Jesus Christ who would even say that?

Man they are so rad. Infinite Flux is seriously my favorite band right now. In the parlance of our times: DAT MELODY

Yes it is! That Whitey's a talented feller.
assface jackson wrote:Yo D! Man, I have not been around here much- this goddamn forum moves too fuckin fast for my old eyes. Infinite Flux was great on Saturday (nice to meet you guys!), Deathbed Confessions reminded me why I love crossover metal, and McCoy's was awash in old school Oly pals from way back. great night.
I'm not using the ape blaster with Mahnhammer currently, though it'll be going with me when we hit Rancho de la Luna in a few weeks and will likely get on some tracks. I think Mico de Noche might be dead, btw. who knows?
I had to go to bed last night but now I have time to say that it sure is good to see you here. It sure is bad to hear that Mico may be finished though. You guys are/were lots of fun for me. That last recording sounded fuckin AGGRESSIVE

I've only seen 'em a couple times but I liked Travis better than the other dude for sure. I like how he looks like he'll fall off the stool at any given minute.
I also like that Ric bass and that Hiwatt amplifier. Good scores!

Yah, all this gear talk is generally dangerous to my bank account- won't be a problem once I get my ass employed again, if that ever happens....

D, you're to kind
Mike, just think of gear purchases as investments and it looks much more reasonable.

Wild.
Almost as wild as the fact that Weedeater had the same guys for so long.

Yup he's been gone for months. They were on tour when him and Dixie got into an argument (Dixie isn't the easiest person to get along with when hes on a bender apparently, Shep has also beat the shit out of him on numerous occasions from what I've heard, but mainly while off tour, cocaine is a hell of a drug.) and Keko put the whipping on him pretty bad then flew home cancelling the rest of the tour (which has happened numerous times before). Dixie then decided he was done with Keko. It sucks because those three guys are all genuinely good guys, especially Keko. The first time I played a show with them they stayed at our singers house and they each downed a full bottle of jack, and they fed me weed cookies. I felt honored to eat weed with weed eater the first time I met them.

I knew he bailed in a huff, but I just figured that he was back in since they were touring again.

Also, We Live is an underrated record.
Gear question: On Eko Eko Azarak, is that the MXR Phaser-in-a-wah going nuts on the left speaker? (you can really hear it around the four minute mark, during that verse).

It's like the bastard child of Supercoven but with way better production.

that album has huge Matamp tone as far as I know. On Let Us Prey that is like pure GT type sounds but on We Live they added some huge fuzz/dist and its massive sounding. Matamp Mid Range => Priestess of Mars

Probably my fav EW song.

Let us prey (the original master) is my fav EW album though. That whole 6 song album is just balls to the wall heavy, with the perfect balance of creepy atmosphere.
