Yeah, it was great to drive less than an hour to get to a show, especially on the coming-home end. Not sure what happened with KEN Mode - first impression was that something gave out in the bassist's rig, but I couldn't be any more specific than that.Barracuda wrote: Any idea what happened with KEN Mode at the end? It sounded like something... bad... had happened... anyway, all the bands were pretty on point I thought. I was pretty pleased with walking to that show after work. It's not often bands end up right down the road.

Saw them a couple of weeks ago at the beginning of the tour. Shit was super-intense! I was intrigued by KEN Mode's use of a SC tele into an Orange/Mesa. Of course it sounded heavy, but man, those single coils put out some bass! Nice and loose in all kinds of cool ways. Singer gave me the fucking stink eye; you know, "stare into the abyss and it will stare into you"? We had that going a couple of times. Dude's fucking nuts. I love it.Barracuda wrote:Any idea what happened with KEN Mode at the end? It sounded like something... bad... had happened... anyway, all the bands were pretty on point I thought. I was like "I'll take all of that to go, please!". Of course, they weren't playing them all at once....

Pretty much sums it up.AxAxSxS wrote:Forrrest wrote: used to post as oinkbanana... but since they revamped the site I don't even bother posting there.
For real. I don't even go there when google hits it for search results on gear I'm trying to find out about. It's really a shame. There was a lot of crap there but there was some knowledge there too and it's all gone now.

probably my favorite bit option, but i've never heard it called a robertson screw. interesting. in america we just call them square drive, in an attempt to suppress their canadian origins.the_brow wrote:It's called a Robertson screw and it is the best.chillerthanmost wrote: Just super annoying squared screws. Re: Post Your Rig: Doom Edition
This thread is really making me want to run a dual rig now.
I've got a Hovercraft Andromeda coming next week that'll sit on my 1X15. Now I'm thinking I'll snag this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peavey-Standard ... 3f31200d6d
and a cheap 2x15 or 1x12 on CL, think that would work? I don't really have a lot of money left so I need super cheap, loud solid state amp suggestions and figured those Peavey Standards would work.

I've heard good things about Mark III's.
You gonna put a different speaker in your 1x15 to be on the safe side with the Andomeda? I think the Andromeda can do 90w while the speaker in your cab is rated at 75

For the time I'll just be running it at 45w using the half power switch. You think that'll be ok? Otherwise I'll just grab another cab. There's a homemade 1x12 with a Delta 12 LFA for pretty cheap near me.skullservant wrote:I've heard good things about Mark III's.

I think it should be okay. I used the Mig50 through it before Brandon shipped it off and it was fine, although I didn't put it to 10.

I gotta stop hunting gear and start finding people to play with.

Heh yeah. SOMETIMES when I record stuff it goes up to 3, but that's kind of rare. Okay now that I think about it, I take it back. If I have any of the boosts on, it's at about 1. But when they are off it's at 3
