So, after taking some of the suggestions, the rack looks more like this:

Dropped the TIdes and the ADDAC in/out, added Batumi, Malekko VCA and Manhattan MIX. Anything I'm overlooking? Better choices? At the prices for all this, it's looking like it's going to take me forever to get this all together, so I'm sure better shit will come out in the meantime.

I'd personally switch out the Malekko VCA for the Intellijel uVCA2, but thats because I fucking love that VCA to pieces.

Instead of the Manhattan Mix I'd do the Malekko Mix 4 and then another one of those Malekko 3HP modules or one of the new Erica Synths PICO modules.

I have deliberately not gone on Muff since I decided I was saving for Japan. There's a god damn reason for that.

The level of mindless consumerism on Muffwiggler recently makes even ILF look like a commune of dirty hippies... So yeah, there are probably deals to be made :).

I mean there's some of those Make Noise radios that are prebuilt. I am salivating.

Also... I think I'm... done?

Yea now we're looking pretty good here. I'd say try and find some outside mixer that can take modular levels, so you can run everything into there before running it into the MTE4 because sometimes some shit is wayyyyy louder than other things.

Also about 60 billion cables.

This is a good starting point for cables.

Ooooh. And I'm still a little at a loss as to how I'd use the stacking cables, but they seem like a good investment?

Stackables are so awesome, can't live without 'em. I hate the pink, and like the Mother 32 cables, but they need to make some longer ones. Analoguehaven also has the Verbos cables now.

Now you just need a Demora on the side...yeah, that's all...

Already rolling with the Headrush and RM-1N for the delay and echo bits, plus the glories of Ambience and other VSTs... But that Demora looks sick. Still want to investigate other controllers, even though the Kommander has been really great I wouldn't mind something more subtle (but maybe I just need to refine my hands).

God I wish I was smart enough to get into this shit.

I so want to do modular. I'm really leaning towards Moog to start out, but is there an easier route? I just want something that's not going to be impossible for me to learn.

As I've found out through this thread, it sort of depends on what you want to do. For example, the Moog would do absolutely dick for what I want out of modular, but it might be perfect for you. Think of the folks that wander into TB:FX and say "I want to use pedals, help me use them." This is a similar thing.
