That guitar was ruined by my ex.. so I burned it. It had a broken truss and paint on the pickups...
I just thought it was some kind of extreme relicing...
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.
I've had soooo many of these in the past 10 years or so. A late HII with a thick poly finish (sound-deadening) and dimarzio humbuckers (so seventies!) and couple of basket-case projects that needed to be rescued and brought back to life, a HII body that had split along the laminations that I routed for an internal GK pickup (I know). These two were the best of the bunch, and I'm never getting rid!
