So shitty business practices and immoral behaviour. Still might not be really worth digging up the drama unless he has done something to personally wrong you or your friend. But I also tend to avoid conflict so :idk:

lol. nah. it's pretty much general busy-body'ness. it annoys me, but it's probably not worth the drama.

I'm not sure they know how to run a business. I don't care if it's COVID times or not. At this point they should have built up enough capital to not have to do this pre order stuff.

Is that a very dramatic statement?

What other filters should I maybe consider for a fuckin' rad as hell filter? Right now, I'm using a Doepfer A-103 (TB-303 type) and a Mobenthey Sprott. Looking to expand the stable.

I think this could be a cool filter: MSK 007 Leapfrog VCF. No morphing but should be pretty cool.
And take a look at the filters from nonlinearcircuits, there are some special designs I think: https://www.nonlinearcircuits.com/modules?tag=Filter

Got a Befaco Crush Delay V3.

Haven't really unlocked the full value of the crush switches but it's pretty sweet as a straight up delay.

Befaco quality is really good.

Thanks for the ideas! I like a lot of NLC stuff but haven't messed with any of their filters before. The MSK sounds cool but for that amount of USD I would like some extra bells + whistles. I'm a bells + whistles kind of fellow, you see, which is why I'm also now somewhat drawn to the Rossum filters...

I've heard the Morpheus is a fantastic filter, but also seen that people eventually get options paralysis or just annoyed with setup time. Stereo Dipole seems like a good medium between a fuck ton of options, but fairly easy to use. I personally love the screaming sounds out of my Dual Borg, but that's not really a feature heavy VCF. I think Behndy had a Rossum Linnaeus for a bit...

EDIT: Behndy's probably had most modules for a bit....

Morpheus is... a great idea? but it clips hella easy (not just with the input stage, but with a lot of fliter settings that really aren't that extreme) and it is NOT a good clipping. very harsh, speaker breaking, not the good kind of distortion.

Linn-Anus is AMAZING. crazy amount of gooey range.

Dual Borg is sooooo good.

SPECTRAL DEVASTATORRRRR is super angry, but doesn't do lush very well. definitely more of a feedback wreck your signal box. in a beautiful way?

i've actually been most in love with Qpas lately. i have a ton of other feedback options, it's just... lush.

Yeasty - lol. shut it. i ACQUIRE loots. yayyyyyyyyy.

Thanks for the run-down, behnderson.

I forgot about the existence of QPAS and the compelling video mylarmelodies put out about it. That could be a neat one.

One no one mentioned that I also look at is Erica Polivoks VCF. I like the sound of their Acidbox III and think that's the same filter (?).

LOL behndy has had them all for sure.

I'll scope the Stereo Dipole a bit though I don't need stereo at the moment. I would LIKE to run a stereo signal into the eurorack but only have the 1 XAOC Sewastopol II (rules).

Sewastopol was a great module! I really like everything Xaoc puts out. I would love to own a pure Xaoc system, which based on what they have out now, they are working towards that possibility.

You can use Stereo Dipole as dual mono. I rarely use it for stereo filtering because it;s a pain to setup for that. But also because I have a WMD Overseer that makes stereo filtering stupid easy. That's almost 100% on the output of Assimil8or for me.

Behndy, I'm surprised you're still rocking QPAS after your other Make Noise experiences.

I'm also surprised by this. If/when I get back into modular, QPAS and Mimeophon are pretty high on my list
