And FW(little)IW I copped that '82 PolyFlange in spring 2015 due to gradual, organic GAS :hobbes:
I wasn't trying to make a comprehensive list with my earlier post. I named the Cluster and Starlight DLX specifically, because they're two of the most innovative and weirdest flangers I've personally used. I still believe the F.13 has had some hand in bringing weird flangers to the uninitiated. This is a time when many flanger novices are buying their first unit, and they're turning to companies like Chase Bliss and Alexander, among others, for more atypical sounds. It's a different culture and a different class than what was previously available in units like the Boss BF-2, MXR M117 Flanger, and the EHX Mistress series.

Realistic: most of the market looking for a flange isn't ever going to use the weird stuff, as much as I'd love 'em to.
Agreed. I can't help but to feel, though, that people buying an F.13, a Spectre, or a Starlight MKII are quite possibly buying them more for weird, than they're actually buying them for typical modulation applications. Flanging is the vehicle, but it's not necessarily the destination. Inspiration and experimentation is the more paramount objective.

I was under the impression that the latest flange surge was started by the Deco (which came out in the fourth quarter of 2014 IIRC).
Then again, I bought the Deco shortly after it came out and I still own it, so.

Let's all agree that Chankgeez started the 2016 ring mod craze in 2015!

I was so certain that there was a flanger on Territorial Pissings but I relistened and I guess it was just double tracking.
What's the best flanger for destroying SNL?

Kurt had an early 80s PolyChorus, and could have easily varied/mixed up/forgot which mode was used in different performances:

That's it, rustywire, I'm gonna singlehandedly revitalize the popularity of the filter matrix pedal.

I'm planning on getting sued by the Wachowskis because I'm gonna name my pedal company:

The Matrix

I'm gonna release a whole line of filter matrix-based pedals. (The only one of 'em that'll be any good is the first one though.) :snax:

Ohhhhhh, no knobs either. Just bands and destinations in an EMS matrix style pin setup.

Go paint those pins purple!

I'm going to build a randomized reverb based on one of those electric football games. When a tackle happens it kicks the tank.

I like imaginary NAMM better I think.
