Hey sparky!
It is a VERY dynamic amp. I had the Sig: X - which is also a great amp, but I wanted that extra kick from the quad KT88s, and I felt I was under using the Sig: X because Fryette amps are so dynamic/touch responsive, I only really needed on channel, set just right, where I could use my guitar's volume for everything.
So that is where I'm at now with the D120. I'm trying to find mod info on making the More/Less gain switch footswitchable. The More/Less just adds an additional gain stage.
But I'm able to set the amp basically in high gain territory and then roll my guitar's volume back (and sometimes split the coil) and get really nice cleans.
Fat Bottom cab is awesome. CHUGA CHUGA CHUGA.

Thanks for your kind feedback! I will try to get some better quality pictures in the near future!
Mixing speakers of the same size already improved the sound, but mixing speaker sizes really opened a new dimension.
They are excellent speakers for huge, darker voiced tones. Combined with 12" speakers you get a really huge "wall of sound".ShaunNecro wrote:
I love me some Eminence Big Ben speakers, they really should get more love.

I'm going to take a family pic on moving day next week. It's too hard to get everything in one shot and it just looks so nice all together.
