Maybe it is better suited to a blog, but you guys started the discussion, on a public forum, so you don't get to say when it should end. You know this.

This is absolutely false. Yes, it's a public forum. I'm not trying to stop anyone from talking about something or anything for that matter. It's ridiculous to suggest that we as community have no say in what gets talked about though. As I've stated, I feel this isn't really a productive conversation any longer and I'm questioning why we're still at it.

Obviously, not everyone is going to share my views and I respect that. I just want my views known.

You don't have to continue to talk about the Devi situation, you don't had to read the thread even. It is a public forum, so like it or not people can and will continue to talk about the subject as long as it is relevant or until a moderator with a reason decided to lock it down. So far there is no reason to do so, and the whole Devi situation is still unfolding/ongoing. Don't worry though, it will naturally fizzle out when interest wanes or when the problem disappears. Until that happens, it's fair game dude.

The resonator reference. I looked it up. Something about a Cydonia guy. Lots of spam posts every couple of minutes on a resonator thread. Presumably there was an argument. He edited all his posts to a dot and presumably never came back. Now, before you start throwing around accusations of one sort or another, I just want to let you know that the word "paranoia" comes to mind right now

Similarly, before you jump to the conclusion that I came here purely to troll/fight the forum etc, I want to make it clear that isn't whats happening here. I have been lurking for a while, and I kinda wanted to be more active. This isn't exactly what I had in mind . But hey, it happened. If you check my other posts (which I am sure someone will take the liberty of doing to ensure I am not the mythical fabled Cydonia or something), you will see I am on board for fuzz and amps and all the rest of that jazz. I already know several members here from other forums and instagram etc, and I am sure they would vouch for me if it ever came to that. But hopefully it won't

Obvs. you're not Cydonia. That's not really the point -- he was very anal about things going off topic, to put it mildly. The other point and I can't hammer this home enough -- there's no discussion to defend here. Seriously, it is/was a blog roll from someone who signed up after the Devi thread was made, is/was more or less exclusively a part of our community for the Devi thread (that much is/was clear), and obviously has some sort of weird preexisting relationship with Devi that is being furthered, in a one way conversation, and getting in the way of our slurpee discussion. Pointing that out should not elicit "wow you guys are so mean what the fuck?"

But I don't think you're trolling, though, I just think refusing to acknowledge what is, inarguably, a distinctly fucked up form of hijacking (as opposed to the benign kind that happens in like every thread here) because feelings might get hurt is silly.

And, also, this wasn't even a 'feelings hurt' level call to attention. This was downright polite.

Like I said earlier, those upper harmonics are grating and absolutely horrible; worst of all is that it sounds super basic at any other setting. However, I do have to admit that the graphic design game is on point.

The backstory may have been off, but I don't think the logic was. In any case, gordian knot is gone now. So that's that problem solved for you. Now this is no longer a "diary/blog/one-way conversation", the thread will be what it will be. Or wont.
