I've always admired your board, but I just realized now that I want to be in a band with you.

Got to play this new Hiwatt cab for 5 minutes before I realized one of the speakers wasn't making sound, opened it up and the positive wire wasn't even connected
Redid all of the wiring and close it back up and the speaker that WAS working has a blown voice coil. Luckily the dude I got it from was chill and gave me enough money back to get a replacement Wizard.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
Ages ago all the speakers blew in a 90s Deville. I always though it sounded both crusty and nasally. Turns out the speakers were always hanging by a thread.. I feel silly having not made that discovery sooner.
My dad helped me put it in some new DIY enclosures made from recycled native timber. The idea was to make it lighter and more versatile, but err.. now it weighs a ton. Anywho.. the mystery 12'' vintage speakers sound nice! - only got the cab finished the other day, hence the lack of topcoat. Might have to look into rolling off the low end somehow.

Quick question though.. The speakers were stated to be 7.5 ohm so I wired them in parallel at connected them to the 4 ohm tap. Is that going to do any damage over time? 3.75 ohm load.. hmm
