Put a pretty severe dent in my ego and I just basically gave up everything I was working on. Took a pretty long hiatus from even making music, and I probably still have a little trouble sharing my music nowadays which could kind of be attributed to that interaction. Granted, he didn't know me from a hole in the wall, but still.
Jesus, that's really too bad. Some people can't be bothered with attempts at empathy, I guess.
