I think that Steins;Gate has finally clicked with me now, 11 episodes in and it has a good pace going on.

Such a great series. You're in for a treat.

Started watching Durarara a couple of days ago. Loved Baccano, and have had this laying around for a while, felt like a good way to start the new year, specially with new eps coming out and stuff. Loving it so far.

Ended up buying it on DVD, upto ep 14-15 now...

I didn't know that it does an Evangelion and get really fucking dark out of nowhere. I totally would've followed through and finish the series ages ago.

People keep on telling me Death Parade is good but I don't believe 'em. Also, I rewatched Kyoukai No Kanata recently and I remember that I originally thought that the show was poorly paced? I might have even expressed that here. Anyways, I don't know why I thought that, it's a pretty solid series I think and I'm looking forward to the release of the movie.

I don't think Death Parade lives up to its one-shot in Anime Mirai. It is good, but near the lower-middle of my spectrum. Then again, only 4 episodes in. It might....get better?

I should say it worked better as a one-shot. Like how some movies get a TV show and they just don't have enough material. Kinda feels like that.

I still don't get the point of this show. Is it "people die and they have regrets, and sometimes people suck."? It seems like such a waste to give this 12 episodes.

Kiseijuu just finished, really liked that show.
I've been liking Death Parade and Saekano too, and Durarara of course, but a lot of stuff ended up being pretty meh this season (as per usual)

Not only a new Teekyuu season, but also Takamiya Nasuno desu, which is basically Teekyuu but with Yuri's younger brother being Nasuno's butler.

I'm gonna end up watching like 25 shows again this season, the ride never ends. But Diamond no Ace is having another season airing right after this one ends so I don't give a fuck. Give me more baseball.

Yeah as if Teekyuu wasn't enough we get the arguably-best-girl spinoff. That means like nearly 5 minutes of it every week as opposed to 2

I keep picking like 15 shows at the start of the season and dropping most of them then picking up a bunch that i didn't think looked any good like halfway through, so this time i'm just gonna watch basically everything for a couple of weeks and hopefully end up with a dozen or so good shows to keep watching.. Admittedly pretty keen for new OreGairu and Nisekoi and Sidonia no Kishi among other things.

I end up watching every single Shoujo show that comes out because I love that stuff. Don't know why but whatever, give me Ore Monogatari!

I've ended up dropping every magic high school show now, it's gotten bad enough that I can just guess what happens in each episode before the show even airs. I like watching everything from the beginning, and then after 3 episodes I usually decide if something is worth keeping.

Define magic high school. Have you Seen Revolutionary Girl Utena? Some of the tropes and gags might me a bit dated, but it still stands as my favorite anime.

Magic high school being like, or close to: Trinity Seven, Irregular at Magic High School (fuck this show so much), Absolute Duo, any show where theres one dude with insane/mysterious powers and the rest of the girls in the school want to plow his brains out. I love a good harem, but this shit ain't even fun to watch.

Best anime of all time is Shinsekai Yori, will never back down on this.

^ yeah basically, it's way too overplayed. I wouldn't put Utena in that bracket at all, nowhere near the amount of overt fanservice, bland character stereotypes etc, i'd rather watch something a little dated than something that's 95% similar to something else i've seen.

I dunno if i could ever pin an all-time favourite personally. Based on how many times i've rewatched stuff it would have to be Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (season 1) or Angel Beats or FLCL. Shinsekai Yori is another favorite though. And Serial Experiments Lain and Baccano and The Tatami Galaxy and Bakemonogatari etc etc etc etc *continues indefinitely*
