It's a baritone resolectric, by Sean Kochel of Kochel Guitars in Montana. 27" scale, reclaimed early-20th-century wood, Rio Grande P90 in the neck and a piezo in the bridge. kochelguitars.com or Google for his Facebook; he hasn't posted those pics yet, but you can see other builds of similar type.

7 strings, played slowly.

SAM. You're not allowed to just post that picture and not preemptively answer all of my very specific questions about that Orange.

So, yeah. How's it do at two babies in the house volumes? What's the clean like and how does it take pedals? Whatabout the gain, big burly Orange, or more modern?

Edit - fuck. just opened the demo video thread

HA!!

so yeah you saw the video....the thing sounds great. as for house volumes...in that video i played it with VM at about 10 o'clock and the channel volumes just below 12 o'clock. it was loud enough for me, and quiet enough that my kids sleeping in their room didnt wake up. Ofcourse they have a whitenoise machine in their room which blocks out a lot of noise, so that's go a lot to do with it.

i have yet to run any pedals with the orange...i'm not fussed with pedals...the idea behind the orange was, i would use it as something to fuck around with, not worry about warming up valves and not worrying about playing 5 minutes and having to turn if off...also, it has reverb and distortion, so i can use that and nothing else. When i have time (an hour or more) i would use my Marshall.

Right on. It sounds really good in the videos. I'm not sure how my current overhaul is going to work out, but the CR120 is officially on the list. There is actually a reasonably good Orange dealer in town, so I may have to find some time to go down there and demo one...seems like a lot better deal than an OR15 at this point.

I don't know if you've played an OR-15 but if you haven't, give it a shot. Ridiculously thick distortion at lower volumes with a boost. I still miss mine. If the CR120 gets close, I'm very interested, I've just never gotten a solid state to play well with fuzz and dirt. I'm sure the SS Sunns and Ampegs would be great though, just never played one.

I was able to play one about a year ago - sounded great, just a lot of coin for a mass produced 15w amp.
