Super Smash Bros 3DS Thread

Post by UncleBBQ »

Who got it?
Who loves it?
Who hates it?
Who is your main?
Anything else I can't think of...
3DS friend codes???

I personally have been really enjoying it so far, it has slowly been replacing my need for sleep.
My only complaint so far is that the online is a bit laggy/choppy sometimes. Usually in 4 player free for all battles. I'm sure that will improve.
Currently maining Sonic, Little Mac, Samus and Wario. I usually use Ness almost exclusively but for some reason I don't love him in this version.

I'm tempted to pick this up, but I think I'm going to hold out for the Wii U version. SSB is more of a drinking with friends kind of game to me than a play on my own or online.

Fair enough! I ride public transit everyday to and from work so I enjoy having it on the go. Kills the 45 minute commutes.

I have wanted a 3DS for a long time. REALLY wanted the special edition Fire Emblem bundle. Alas I play no video games. I've recently tried played vg's again, but something has changed :erm:

Did they bring Roy back? I was pretty disappointed they took him out in Brawl.

edit: nvm looks like just Marth from the FE series?

I got it. I haven't played a ton of the characters yet but so far I like Greninja and Lucario a lot. I have unlocked like 5 extra characters so far. I'll post my friend code when I get home from work.

Zero Suit Samus is the Melee Sheik I always wanted. That and Lucina/Marth are my mains. At first I was skeptical of playing on my DS's screen, but now that I'm used to it I'm so glad I got it. I'm pretty sure that while the WiiU version will be the mainstay for the competitive scene, the 3DS version will be the most played.

Friend code: 0447 - 6595 - 8300

I didn't play Melee or Brawl much so maybe this isn't new, but I feel like they have made it much more difficult to dominate a game. Like certain attacks now have a longer "cooldown" making it harder to trap opponents in insta-kill combinations, and fighting in the air off the side of a stage is harder and less effective.

Sweet! Somehow I didn't see your friend code when I was reading this thread, or I would've added you last night!
