Based on the knobs and foot switches, I would say that's a TAFM. Too bad that glare is there so I can't see where the other little switches would be, but looks pretty close.

Saw Whirr last night and had trouble IDing Nick's amp. This is the best shot I could get. Any ideas?

His board had an OCD (surprisingly the only dirt pedal), DD7, Trinity, Small Clone, Hardwire RV-7 for reverse, MXR EQ, EB volume and a Polytune.

The other dudes were all just using Russian muffs (one had a black and one had a green) and a DD7.

So fucking good.

Whatever it is, we're probably not hardcore enough to know. I wish I could listen to new whirr without feeling a bit ill.

For the completists, his rig was an SVT VR + 8x10 plus a couple of the new Portaflexes + 2x10s, with one in the typical DS-1 high end setup.
good deals are here.

SO he splits the signal, one side goes through the 250 and the other one through the DS1?

sort of makes sense :) although I'm not sure which distorted sounds would be which side

He's pretty much always done that -- the DS-1 has had every knob dimed and going through a different head pretty much forever, although it's not as noticeable now that they've basically eschewed the all encompassing bass fuzz aspect of the band.

yeah sometimes he runs that side through guitar amps, like in sleep. Sends all the high from the bass.

so has he ditched the minitaur in favour of the waldorf?
