So I'm looking for a mixer for all of my crap is there no other way to go besides doing a large and relatively pricey 400-500 dollar mixer? also the above setup is so baller, I need to post pictures of my ever growing full setup, It's getting quite ridiculous now haha.

how big of a mixer do u need? look at used mixers. i got an older 16 channel mackie mixer for $100 just cuz it was the older model and not the latest one.

16 channels, I'm looking at used mixers and I'm having a tough time finding one round that price range. It's all between 300-500. I'm not sure if I want to spend that kinda scratch on something as dull as a mixer haha. I saw a 1604vlz mackie for 100 bucks and I didn't pick it up although I hear those have a good amount of issues, yay or nay?

Uhhhh mixers aren't dull. Checkout dub mixing. Getting feedback channels of effects is sweet. You have a good amount of stuff to input into a mixer but you also want a lot of sends if you are going to learn the way of the mixer. It really adds a lot of great textures.sergiomunoz74 wrote:16 channels, I'm looking at used mixers and I'm having a tough time finding one round that price range. It's all between 300-500. I would say you should look at an Allen & Heath ZED24. I bought a new one for around $600 and I love it.
Besides the fun of dub mixing, solid parametric EQ goes a long way. Beyond handy.

It looks like the iPad camera connection kit. It let's you plug USB stuff into the ipad, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the synth apps for the iPad let you connect a midi controller using the camera kit.

Oh damn! I haven't though of trying that out. Of course I'm reppin' an old ass iPad one so I think my iOS soft synth capabilities are a helluva lot less than anything more current.sp3k wrote:Yep! The other thing I worry about is strain on the 30-pin dock connector. The camera connection is huge and plugging a usb cable into it always makes me concerned that it's eventually going to bend the dock connector and ruin the iPad.

Wait. You can plug both the pad and keyboard controllers into the ipad?sp3k wrote:Yep! Also, have you tried the usb midi out on the microbrute? I'm considering getting one to start building a mini-synth rig.
