I think there was a kind of vague wishlisty thing. Seems that just about everyone who posted didn't really care PRECISELY what they got, other than general things like "Hey, I have a lot of fuzz, so I'd be interested in modulation," or "I have a peanut allergy, so if you include snax, keep that in mind." Oh, and t-shirt sizes - those are of crucial importance.

Having done this for a few years now, I'd say don't worry about blowing your load on the pedal. If you include something nice and unique that's not an effect (one year I got a 5"x5" painting which still hangs on my wall) along with a so-so pedal, people are going to be just as stoked as if you gave them UG-grade unobtanium.

Unless, of course, you get me and you feel like buying me a Snazzy Mini-ark, or a PLL clone. In that case, by all means just do up the pedal and forget the rest.

Yeah I would probably list bands, movies, authors, TV shows, etc that you're into so people have a little better idea what kind of stuff to get you. I'm sure someone will start one up at some point.

The wish lists last year were mostly unstalkables like t-shirt size, allergies, fuck ehx... You know. Stalking is the key though.

This is my favorite time of the year. Mrs. Fission saw how gleeful I was last year putting the package together for my Santee--I was already stoked on ILFSS before getting my own mindblowingly awesome gift. Very joyful experience, and I'm generally very meh about the holidays.

Wishlist may seem kind of lame, but it can really help the Satan/Santa focus their stalking to a current range of interests. I mean, FSM help whoever gets UG without a wishlist. (I really hope I don't draw UG.)

But in all seriousness, if I get Eivind for SS I will dress up as a viking, leave a sword on his doorstep and charge as soon as he opens the door. If he wins, he may loot my body for pedals and candy.

Fuck yeah, I'll wait for you dressed up as a pedal pinata. In all serious seriousness though, it would be kinda lame if we get each other, since we are able to swap pedals and eat candy anytime.

Wishlist-thingy would be nice, as long as it's not "I want this specific pedal, give it to me naow". I'm an excellent ninja, though.
