Thanks guys, bad news though, the Cerwin vega 18 seems to be fubar. It was working fine when last used, I don't know if it sat to long or what, But its making a huge rattling noise at certain frequencys in or out of the cab. So now I'll be looking into reconing it or sourcing a different speaker.
The 4x12 side of it sounds awesome though.

I'd try to recone it first before just totally trashing it.

It was a happy accident to say the truth. I was planning on doing it all blue stain but since that stain I was using was water based so it started drying in some spots much quicker and kinda left it spotty in a bad way. So i thought about it and was about to sand it all down to the bare wood and start over then I thought of doing a lighter walnut wipe over it all since it's oil based and was thrilled with the results. Will probably do something similar in the future with different colors.

I'll get it sorted. Have not had any time to look into options. I wanna do right by this cab so a recone is the way I'm leaning.

I had something similar happening to an old Peavey Black Widow 15". No tears what so ever, the voice coil wasn't rubbing either, but at certain frequencies and over a certain volume it would rattle like a mother fucker. It turned out to be the spider partially coming unglued and flapping which I found out can be a common issue with them old BWs. I was recommended I used CA glue and let it cure for a day. About a year later I've had no issues and the speakers put out great volume and bottom end on a 2000s SUNN cab.

I'm glad I'm getting that reaction. I laid out all the wiring yesterday. I'll set it permanent and put the casters and back on tmwr... hopefully. Then I guess I'll see how the fuck I'm going to shove it in my shed. and apparently I'm doing something right it had fell off the saw horses face down on the ground. Don't know how or when but when I walked in it was laying there and I thought someone was fucking with me. but there was only a bit of blimish on the corner where the impact must have fully happened.
