http://pitchfork.com/news/55774-scott-w ... -an-album/ This morning, 4AD tweeted a link to a website featuring the above graphic. Now, they've confirmed that mysterious experimental musician Scott Walker and drone metal duo Sun O))) are collaborating on an album. "They're working together and there is a record coming later in the year," a label source told the Quietus.
In February, Sunn O))) released Terrestials, a collaborative album with Ulver. Walker's most recent album was 2012's Bish Bosch, though his first five albums were reissued last year.

What a perfect opportunity to use my preferred smiley
21st century Scott abstraction meets super loud Sunn mayhem.
I'm extra curious to hear such a project.

Haven't been into any of the Sunn collabs at all, so I'll reserve judgement on this. If I can flex my INTERNET OPINIONS Stephen O'Malley should make spend his time making records with Aethenor and Nazorani..... En Form For Bla and the Nazoranai LPs were goddamn near perfect..... while that Sunn/Ulver LP was incredibly underwhelming.....

It is an interesting combo, that's why I am excited for it. I would like to see Sunn do a bunch of diverse collabs. Like with Tony Bennett for instance.

Maybe Sunn needs a drummer with huge cans to really take it to the next level.....

Seeing how Scott walker is amazing, I can't see this being that bad. I'm actually really fucking excited.

When I think about the participators, it has the potential to sound really insane and unpleasant
can't stand Walker, because his music makes me feel too bad... but sure, i'll give it a listen

I'm bouncing between these two trains of thought. Scott Walker is one of my favorites, so this could be incredible if it's more
his project.

I've liked a few of the collabs quite a bit. Altar, black one, the newest one with ulver. It's gonna be weird, that's for sure. I think sunn will provide a more stable, yet menacing backbone for Scott walker though.
