Are those on/off switches or just some form of janktastic looking footswitch?

There is actually a 1/4" jack on the back that you plug directly into your guitar and then you plug your cable into the bottom of the box. I guess that seemed like a good idea back in the 60s. Also yeah, that is the on/off switch then on the front. They sound crazy incredible.

Hmmmm, interesting! Thanks for explaining. You should make a book about your collection. It's certainly large enough I imagine.
