I really, really like this post. Just sold my 1000s to buy an SVT, so I can tell you that you made the better choice by getting those.

I'd love a 2000s but I also picked up an SVT recently so I can't buy more amps (oh no!!).... But goddamn does that SVT sound delicious. I'm done with amps for a while unless it's a deal I absolutely can't pass up.

I bought kinda nice gear about four years ago, and I've just been really, really patient with my flips. Also, student loan money.

I just spend absolutely all my left over money on gear. But I wait and hunt the deals I can't pass up. Mostly everything I get now consist of trading shit I've acquired throughout the years. Because I'm not really making all that much teaching high school special ed. and paying for my necessary living expenses. Plus I'm a good saver because I hate vacations, holidays, traveling, and all that expensive stuff couples and shit do.
