Well, that s the point... i have been looking for a pedal with just those octaves, but none of them have the percussive and glitchy thing of the Whammy... i would love to stop carrying that big thing... but i didn t find anything similar...

any suggestions about that inexistent pedal..?

Yea, thing is WAYYY too big I think "Mini" was more of a remark on the simplified form factor compared to the original Q-tron, and less of a actual size designation. Sounds good at least. In the right settings, that thing will make seriously painful sub sounds too. I'll have to do a rehouse here asap. Crazy thing is, it can fit it into a 1590BB!

Don't hold your breath I love those FLIP series pedals. Only have to track down about 6 more...AD-X, FB-X, HM-X, FZ-X, TD-X, & VT-X. There are 14 total, but I'm not nearly as interested in the others. Matt (Goroth) knows what's up with them

You're not the only one! They hardly ever pop up anymore. Wish I could find the BB-1 version as well. I don't have any clips, but might could get some in the next few days. Trying to make a demo of my Univox as well as Andrews' tourbox (Industrialectric) anyway. If that doesn't work out, maybe we could do a temp trade so you could give it a run through. Your demo would kill mine anyway
The gain on it is kind of lame sounding when cranked, though it works well for general rock guitar. With the gain dialed back and the two volumes up, you get a really nice warm boost. Sounds great with bass and guitar when set like that. Plus the eq is quite useful. Low gain settings with the Frazz, going into the BB-X is for me and the tele.

This is what I have been playing with these days. Just got the DL4 again, I had forgotten how much I lerve it until I started thinking about the Ditto X2 and then subsequently having DL4 looping dreams again and then seeing one for $100 on CL.

Boss OC3 -> Hardwire RV7 -> Montreal Assembly Goodbye24 -> Pigtronix Echolution -> Small Stone -> Line6 DL4 -> SSBS Mini

The order goes against so much of what I previously thought was correct, but hold on now. I've been using my combo organ a lot these days, so the OC3 on poly makes the lower notes on my organ super beafy and huge. There's no decay on the organ so I have the reverb second to get some decay for when I go reverse on the GB24 or DL4 (favorite setting on GB24 is halfway mix, octave up reverse, about 4s time, mostly CW repeats). I tend to make little mini loops with the Echolution's loop switch and use the DL4 exclusively as a looper. Then I have the Mini last so that I can make everything evolve and disintegrate and get powerful, lots of knob turning and

I have a big box regular Q-Tron, the same size as the old style DMM's.... it's HUGE. I think I'm going to leave it at my jam space since I'm always playing at low volumes in my house and it barely even registers.... I've given up ever fitting this thing on my board ever again with everything else that goes on.

I really love it for funky weird shit, but I've had it a year and the switch broke and a few of the wires have just come loose and had to be reattached on, and I definitely don't abuse this thing. It's not exactly a high quality pedal....

I used to think reverb always had to go towards the end (to emulate my amp being in a certain environment) but it is capable of so much early on. Before a deep and slow vibrato. Into a really squishy compressor. Reverse reverb into a really long delay. On top of that, messing around with order around the GB24 is always real fun. Messing around with the GB24 is always real fun. I'm still amazed at how much I've been able to use it at shows in a band context.
