Unrelated, but bass related. So I LOVE my BN6, but my hands are killing me! I haven't picked a bass up in more than a week because of other shit happening my family and working on projects. Did the other day and I was literally in pain from playing this bass. WTF! I think (THINK) that it's because of how wide the neck is. I was wondering about other six string basses. Is the Dingwall more narrow? It may be time to consider one again for ergonomic reasons. At least in basses with more than 4 strings.

One thing to bear in mind with a big neck like that is that you'll probably have to change your playing posture pretty drastically. I notice that I have to hike a bass a little higher if I'm playing a 5 string, so I'd assume it's the same for a 6.

lol. we go back and forth (giggety) on the vocalist thing. we both prefer female vocals, and someone that wanted to stay more airy and sort of hook'ish like how grrLs roll in IDM or dubstep stuff is what i think would fit best.... but we're both super vocal chord gun shy. the last two "singers" (one was of pretty marginal talent) became such awful problems.

we've talked about how since we're happy like this too, we might start gingerly looking for someone. we both feel like we're in a better place to audition people now, since we're doing okay sans mouth noises, so we can look for someone as a WANT, not as a NEED. and be way more careful and discerning.
