I'm getting these pedals for $40 each and rather unexpectedly. Synth would be nice, but I feel like I should have it covered with octave>fuzz>filter. I am actually much more interested in the unibass as a poor mans pitchfactor, but can't seem to find anything comparing the two.

Honestly, I'm hoping that I hate these pedals so I can flip them without remorse, use half of the money on paying off my credit card/loan and get some pedals that I actually need for my board. I'm still going to try to use them as much as I can though first.

I'd put them up on the TB and EvilBay. I mean come on... most profitable deal EVAR!

That's what I was thinking. I could buy so much stuff with it all and actually be able to have the crazy board that I have dreamed about pretty much.Schlatte wrote:I'd put them up on the TB and EvilBay. I mean come on... most profitable deal EVAR!
This is literally what I thought when he told me the price. I had to keep cool and natural, which was very very VERY hard to do.spacelordmother wrote:Schlatte wrote:Fuck.ShaunNecro wrote:I'm getting these pedals for $40 each and rather unexpectedly.

That was almost exactly my reaction when my covers band's former bassist told me I could have his Bass Whammy for $50. He knew nothing about them. This was in like 2005 or so.ShaunNecro wrote: This is literally what I thought when he told me the price. I had to keep cool and natural, which was very very VERY hard to do.

sorry y'all for changing the subject, but I have a technique question that is plaguing me. so, I'm playing in drop D and alternating between the root and octave. both are on same fret but i can't figure out how to do without A) giving myself the worst handcramp by using one finger and rolling slightly to press the string down or B) using two fingers and being super cramped and slow coming out. Halp.
if it matters the song is slow hands by Interpol and I'm playing an epi t-bird.

I personally use 2 fingers to do what you're describing.
You could also play in D standard and just drop the other 3 string so it becomes essentially the same fingering as you would use for normal standard tuning.

My suggestion is to not play songs by Interpol.WayToHip wrote:sorry y'all for changing the subject, but I have a technique question that is plaguing me. so, I'm playing in drop D and alternating between the root and octave. both are on same fret but i can't figure out how to do without A) giving myself the worst handcramp by using one finger and rolling slightly to press the string down or B) using two fingers and being super cramped and slow coming out. Turn on the Bright Lights is a great fucking album. Not big on anything after that, they got less dreary on later albums.D.o.S. wrote: My suggestion is to not play songs by Interpol.

So I decided I need to sell one of my Elrick's
If anyone has any interest, lemme know in a day or two. Otherwise it's off to the bay.
It's an amazing USA new jazz standard. 35" scale for awesome drop tunings.
