best tracking octaver (besides Pitch Factor) is the IE Subterania. i'm not in love with the synth voiced stuff, but the straight octaver is really good. tracks like a beast too.
:thumb: thanks for the rec's. i'll be sure to check them out.

i mean, if you can afford it (seeeeems to be so) and are looking at a Pitch Factor, the H9 is BANANANANANAS.

I just checked it out. That's.....really cool. I never got into eventide's pedals, stuck with analogue for so long. I've still got a digitech gsp 2101 dual processor I'll use when i want to create my own algorithms. It looks like the H9 is a congregate of effects from their other pedal models? Really like how its set up, pretty intuitive to make changes and foot friendly. also looks like the ipad is making its move onto the guitar players setup too.
There are alot of sounds I can get from my moogers but alot not so much. I'm glad you pointed this out. Seems like the perfect tool for sculpting ambiance and atmosphere, among other uses. oh, now I know what shimmer is too

I've been seeing these on peoples boards, your's too??

I'm really curious about it, considering how cheap they can be had for over here for a Nord :thumb:
I had the full size nord modular and loved it but sold it in a tight spot :( I used that one more as a synth / sound source but I plan on using this one almost exclusively as a guitar effect :joy:

Incoming: boss ls-2 (to use with the nord)

Ya I agree the tracking on the SubT and Pitchfactor are better, but for the tone I'll take the mxr. I'm actually using the SubT on my board at the moment and letting it double up as a synth and clean octaver. I mostly use my h9 for pitch up or other effects, so I need another dedicated octaver. I'm considering ditching my compressor for the sake of the BOD and the SubT.

yah. H9's pretty tits. it will load any of the other Factor models, and so far there are two H9 exclusive algorithms. they seem committed to making more.

i loooooove it.

COMPRESSORS ARE STOOPID. DITCH ALL COMPRESSORS.

hurm. i liked the BOD, but the only analog octaver i ever LURVED enough to have a Down Octave Only pedal on board is the Aggy Octamizer. so GOOD.

but i'm not a huge octaver fan.

ORGANIZER FOR LIFF.
