Dude, tight! I just got rid of my AF-60 in a trade for a Sunn. I used to have a Bee Baa too, which is what started me on this obsession. I'm eagerly awaiting the pedal in the mail, so...we'll see. It does help things that the BF-2 is my favorite flanger.
 i'm on this weird roland kick too? taking it back to ace tone, but those are hard to find other than the fm-2, which is bananas :omg: Now that i've got the fuzz' i'm thinking of branching into the mod pedals. Looking forward to hear your thoughts on it. I want a boss DB-5 pretty bad now. Theres a bf-2 on ebay for like 240 buy it now.... what do you think is a fair price?

Man, my friend's FM-2 is SICK. Also, I actually found the box containing the BF-1 in my room, placed there by a roommate. I'll report back with findings. Also, bf-2 or bf-1? Because BF-2s can be found for significantly less all day.

Ohhhhh. I see. I mean, I've seen them selling on average around 200. I got mine for a bit less due to blind luck.

oh woops..i see, i see. i wrote bf-2 to start this all off  my bad. still getting used to the names and numbers of these pedals  i thought $240 might be high, the seller has mad stock in choice vintage gear so I'm guessing hes a player. It does look pretty minty though, and you do gotta pay for that. eh, i'll keep looking. Thanks for the headsup.

There's also the allusive Roland Double Sound fuzz. Actually, I think it was a fuzz wah. Tried to build that one awhile back but it didn't work. The circuit is unlike any I've seen before in vintage fuzz land. Get one!

Thanks for the head's up. :thumb: I'm really digging the roland double beat fuzz wah...crazy cool pedal. :!!!:
on ebay there's a cool looking Ibanez Double Sound Fuzz with sliders on the sides of the treadle and a stomp on each side. another that looks identical under Maxon. need to check out edb. those old japanese fuzz/wah are insane. love em'
I'm still looking for a Boss DB-5 too.

Had one that was really great! At the same time I had a Companion 8-tr, and the Ibanez was more refined and "subtle". The Wah was pretty good actually. If I recall correctly, there are two versions of the Double Sound that contain either a Super Fuzz (older) or an OD-850 as the fuzz circuit. I had the OD-850 one. It was a tad tame compared to the first generation OD-850 I love but nonetheless very nice. It was a bit huge and I was in need of money so out it went.

Oh wow, thanks for the input :joy: its hard to find solid info on these old pedals. they look HUGE. I get the impression that most all pedals coming out of japan at that time were either coming out of one factory or were working together. Thanks again!
