Ibanez DL-5 rehoused for destroyerjazz. Twas an interesting project. Had to take about a 1/8th off the pcb, and some good planning to get everything in there.LaoWiz wrote:What's the second one?
The obvious first one is for Psyre.

Oh cool, I'm about to rehouse a fat sandwich for oldangelmidnight. It's a little daunting as I have to remove board mounted jacks and 6 9mm pots. Gonna have to do that one sober.Jero wrote:Ibanez DL-5 rehoused for destroyerjazz. Twas an interesting project. Nice! I assume to get one of your stellar etch jobsLaoWiz wrote:Oh cool, I'm about to rehouse a fat sandwich for oldangelmidnight. It's a little daunting as I have to remove board mounted jacks and 6 9mm pots. Gonna have to do that one sober.
I love the first one too. I need something like that to try shit out on loud amps at rehearsal spaces. Neighbors are tired of my prototyping sounds!
Where you live in TX? I grew up in Bryan/College Station...

graphic fuzz! yes I did make one of those 6 months ago. I designed a mod to stop it from whistling but I put it on a switch so I can get my whistle on. posted it on diy stomp at the time. the big difference is that my 3 part fuzz is a comparator centered at 0v. the graphic fuzz is a high gain thing. both of them are dc coupled and biased at 0v.Jero wrote:Nice, EYG. You're half way to a Graphic Fuzz

Very cool! I like the idea of the whistle switch, haha. I need to sit down an trace the pictures of the original graphic so I can build one. The only schematic I've found was incorrect.eatyourguitar wrote:graphic fuzz! yes I did make one of those 6 months ago. Yea, CS is a strange place. My dad is a professor at A&M. I go see my folks once or twice or year. That place is getting knarly, lots and lots of crime.Jero wrote:Nice! Those breadboard pedals are so convenient! I want to make a giant one eventually.
I lived in Abilene for a little bit of highschool but moved to Austin. Stayed there for 6 years I think, but now I'm back in Abilene. Crazy that you grew up in CS!
Ps. Whats happenin' with that fat sandwich enclosure when you're done![]()

When I buy a car we should have a pedalfest

Lets do it! We call go to all electronics and apex electronics!Officer Bukowski wrote:I'm in Orange County about 40 miles from Silverlake
I don't have a car right now but I'm buying one. If you wanna meet up after I get a car I wouldn't mind driving up there
How cool would it be to collaborate on a build?

1590B on the Ibanez? Damn. I have two Soundtanks to rehouse. Good to know about the fit issues in advance.Jero wrote:Ibanez DL-5 rehoused for destroyerjazz. Twas an interesting project. That's actually a 125bb! Pretty much a tall 1590bb. It might fit in a 1590bb, but not without a headache &/or clever planning. Could have luck if you set up the enclosure horizontally. Also, be sure to get a normally open momentary switch for the bypass. A normal switch will require stomping twice to turn on/offGone Fission wrote:1590Bb on the Ibanez? Damn.
