Clifton, I never really had time this weekend to go into detail on this matter so I am going to catch up with you now on it. I do not think this amp will get you that tone, I actually think no amp can get that exact tone. I think that is best achieved layering pedals on top of a slightly dirty, high power amp. I think the best bet would be GT120, run it with dirtish cleans then layer on pedalsconky wrote:I don't mind paying a lot for an amp if it's worth it. I've been wanting to add more low end and looseness to round out the tighter more mid focused Hotrod. What I really want is a single channel amp that will go from clean to full out Buried at Sea tones without the aid of any pedals.new05002 wrote:Given all the amps you love, I don't think it is a conky amp given the priceconky wrote:I know this to be the correct answer, but please 'splain.new05002 wrote:No

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
yea then I was close, just a different slightly dirty high power amp but either way I dont think any amp with built in gain has had that kind of super sludge tone.

It's the Marshall Guv'nor II (always on by the looks of things) but the reverb will help.new05002 wrote:i think its all that small pink pedal, no lie
