i'm nervous. the date i had on Thursday went really well, and we agreed that we would see each other again soon. But i'm worried that i might be getting into more than i should. she has an 11 year old daughter who naturally takes up a lot of her attention and time, and she's really busy on weekends so i get all nervous and teenaged when she doesn't write for a day because she's so occupied with her life as a Mom. i'm also nervous because there's something in me that just wants to take care of her. however, i'm not having the "RUN AWAY" psychic signals that i didn't listen to with my previous relationships. but i'm frightened...when i fall for someone i fall hard, and it's easy to get hurt.

The storm is going to pass, regardless of your frown or smile, so smile. Happy for ya.

well, it turns out, as i somehow suspected, that she says she has realized she's not ready for a relationship, i kind of had figured something of that bnature was happening since she'd been distant since we saw each other last week and had already gone through the "oh, well" in preparation. in a way i'm not ready, either. and i was working under the concept "if it's not supposed to happen, it won't happen." but i'm sad and disappointed. i so need for someone to hold me.

tl;dr: girl blew me off; i'm sad but saw it coming. FML.

And every time I'm only about 5 minutes from it, my brain suddenly starts fucking me up.

As the grandchild of four-out-of-four dead grandparents, I know what you mean.

Except that having dead grandparents is way better than having suffering grandparents.

Even if you have to deal with the fact that, if you really believe that there is no form of afterlife, they only knew you as you were when you were alive and never experienced you as the "source of joy/genetic disappointment" you became.



That halfway makes me scared to have children, actually.
