oog. i can't watch The Fountain. i loved it when i saw it and thought it was beautiful. then about a week later someone i really cared about was diagnosed with cancer and it really affected my family situation.

i tried to watch it again and i just can't. shit is too emotional for me.

i am SENSITIVE damnit.

He's been in a actual "good" movie?
the fountain is fucking awesome. i love the prestige, too. plus aside from X3 i'm a sucker for the x-men flicks.
All those fall into just ok to me. Fun, yes, entertaining, maybe but good? not sure.. and something about the fountain pissed me off but I don't remember what it was now.

yeah, you'd have to be into weird stuff like that to dig it. i'm oddly a sucker for most david lynch flicks too. it's surprising i'm not frustrated by how weird / scattered / inexplicable those guys' work can be. i guess it might be from enjoying using my imagination...

david lynch is great, yes. I just hate it when the end is predictable in a movie that is suppose to be odd or weird, I think it's a "studio" call most of the time. There needs to be more movies like Rubber and Troll hunter and less supermans a expendables and that new OZ thing.. fuck! why.. how did that even get made?

Yeah it wasn't a surprise for me :idk:

romeo & juliet.. I take it it won't be about them both getting a sex change that fails and having to kill themselves due to the shame of being mutants... shame, that would be cool

i guess it wasn't "surprising," it just wasn't one of those where halway through i could tell whoever's next to me what's going to happen (did that w/ the departed, for example, so freaking predictable...).

UGH. this thread just made me look up spielberg wondering what his breakthrough was (jaws?) and HE'S MAKING YET ANOTHER INDIANA JONES. THE LAST WAS AWFUL. QUIT IT!

The Departed I think was possibly the most overrated movie in recent history. Like, it was ok. But that's it.

i think it's more seeing some actors i like having a lot of fun with their roles that makes me dig The Departed? i'm not sure how i feel about Leo, but Nicholson is always fun, and i loooove Ray Winstone. i really likededed Infernal Affairs, so i was curious about what the remake would be like.

Lynch is weaaaaaaaaak.

didja'll know that David Lynch's daughter Jennifer wrote and directed Boxing Helena? not a good movie. cool idea though. she took a break after getting CRUSHED for how shitty that movie was. i think NOW called her a misogynistic WHORE at one point.

but i did like Chained and Surveillance. good shtuff.
