No prob!

Here's the volume recommendations for the pro-12a:

Rec. Enclosure Vol. (Sealed) 28-35 Liters / 1-1.25 cu. ft.
Rec. Enclosure Vol. (Vented) 31-91 Liters / 1.1-3.2 cu. ft.

Here's all the info the speaker you would ever need: http://www.usspeaker.com/DELTAPRO12-1.htm

Ha yeah you will. I'll have at least one build with every band on Friday.

it makes sense the i flood Irish market with products since percentage wise I am most Irish, red tinged beard and all.

I believe Dave is rocking a Cthulhu and that makes up my contribution, he messaged me today and said his pedal board was super trimmed down for the next 4 gigs.

Obviously this would be a project.

But is it worth 150 in it's current state? How much would it take to fix all this shit?

The one in BST?? That green tolex is sexy. I had a Sceptre for a while. It got pretty loud through a 4x12, but the Master Volume would be able to make it reasonable. It only uses 4-5 tubes so it wouldn't be SUPER expensive for them. Biggest concern would be the floating power transformer...

So with two speakers do I double the volume? My cab internally is 72cm/28.5" wide and 30cm/12" deep so I'd looking at 32.5 cm to get it to 70 Litres internal volume. That sound about right or do I take into account the speaker dimensions too and go bigger again? Excuse my ignorance on this subject.

It sounded great in Cork. I've no red at all, getting old so got some salt and pepper in my beard now.

old fuck ha. Chris has a Ge PNP Cthulhu but that one ended up not working exactly for what he wanted so I redesigned a hybrid one (1 Si, 2 Ge) which I did the pcb for the other day and will be sending over at some point.

Actually that is the one! I saw it on my craigslist and he's only like 45 mins from me. It looks like the chassis is tilted back - could it be that it's just not mounted well in the shell? Or does it look like something happened to it?

I know that I don't need it. I know that it's not an ideal amp for the volumes I play at. I know these things. BUT I ALSO KNOW I WANT IT :doom:

Yeah looks like the chasis either isn't in all the way or it's bent a bit. It looks like the same slope as the one above it though, so that's promising. Might just be that the retolex job is making it look kind of weird.

I will say that the reverb on it RULES and if the trem works on it, that also RULES

FUUUUUUCK I think I have to at least go try it out. I mean, I could sell my trem pedal for almost as much as the amp...

What all is involved in fixing the transformer? Dude says he would just JB Weld it down and call it a day, which is in line with how I generally fix things, but didn't know if it was a delicate/difficult/expensive thing to fix?

Then I could retube it. And strip the tolex off and make it white

As far as I am aware yes you do double it for 2 speakers. Those are ratings for single speaker cabs.

Yeah I think trying it out first is in order, he could probably throw the tubes from the other Sceptre in there for you to at least test it and see if you like it. Might save you some money if you dont end up liking it!

I saw that head too and was tempted to try to get it. I had that Solarus for about 30 minutes before it died. I took it to my tech and he said he couldn't fix it so it kinda has me scared about picking up another Sunn amp that hasn't already been recapped. I don't know a whole lot about them but I heard that if the transformers crap out the replacements change the tone for the worse. Still wanna get that Model T from rotgut that is in the Spam thread. SOMEONE BUY MY SG DAMMIT!!!

I would get it. I actually thought about it but its a little less powerfulkl than the amps I'm currently using. I'd either bolt the tran down or use rivets.
How much work can you do yourself should be the deciding factor there. Sounds like nothing major is wrong with it to me.

What was wrong with it and do you still have it?
I need a new project as the 12 string ric copy is almost done, just waiting on a brass nut to finish it off. I actually used it for all of yesterdays practice and had minimal tuning issues. New nut should make it perfect
