It looks like I may not be going now.

My test results came back and everything is perfect expect my platelet levels are low and so is my white blood cell count. I'm not sure why either. So they have to draw two more vials of blood from me tomorrow and retest. That makes 15 fucking vials they've taken from me in a month. Here's the kicker too. The lady handling all of this for me tells me "I don't know if we have another donor if this doesn't work out".

Why the fuck would she tell me that? WHY? Now I feel so much fucking pressure, like it's going to be my fault if the guy doesn't make it. Such bullshit. I mean, what the fuck am I supposed to do? I can't make my cell count higher. So ridiculous. I've been a wreck every since talking to her. Just feeling horrible. Sucks. I'll know on Saturday whether or not I'm going to be able to do this. I hope for his sake, I can.

That is kind of a terrible thing for her to say. Sorry you are having to deal with that. This is one of those things that you probably have absolutely no control over. The best you can do is keep going and if all else fails,...know that you didn't give up prior to doing everything in your power. Hang tough bud.

Ok on a different note. God damn it! The solderless fucking plugs! I should have listened to those of you that cautioned me. Fuck. All they do is fail left and right. Sometimes its random and other times it's when I move a pedal. Fucking bullshit. They are sooooo expensive. I'm trying to trade them on TB right now. Hopefully one of those guys wants them. My bass signal was all sorts of fucked up and I kept trying to find the cable doing it. Eventually I went nuts and just removed them all and put my old ones back on my board. So pissed off right now.

Man; you guys have some much trouble with solderless. I've honestly had like two cables fail me over 3 years of usage; and that was during pedalboard rethinks and I attribute that to operator error like not seating the thumb screw tight enough or not having a clean cut on the cable. I just redid my pedalboard last night with about 95% George L's and it went down without a hitch.

It's frustrating when you have to suss out which cable has failed you for sure and I don't mean to diminish that. Perhaps I don't put as high a demand on my cables through consistent rewires and rehashes,...but I've just not come up against the frustrations that a fair amount of users seem to be experiencing.

I did find a while ago that cheap cat claw trimmers make an excellent cutting tool for George L cable. They are perfectly shaped to give you a clean cut without deforming the cable.



That said I couldn't find my tool last night so I just used a pair of scissors.

I've also seen suggested that a sharp razor knife/box cutter is the accepted tool of the trade. Anything that will keep from squashing/pinching the cable.
