Goodbye 24 Settings Thread!

Postby skullservant » Wed Jun 19, 2013 7:25 pm

Gonna make a bunch of diagrams for all the settings that I've been using on the Goodbye 24. It's got SO many sounds that come out of it and I've been meaning to do it for my own sake, but I figured you guys might find this helpful as well!

i like long buffers with reverse playback either just slightly detuned or +1 octave slightly detuned.

someone just sent me a pretty nice clip they did with thiers. much better than my demos. im going to put it on my soundcloud as soon as i get his permision.

i think the next rev will have 3 times the settings though. (:

Speaking of which, here's another sound I found. Noisy ass recording, but my recording rig is half dead at the moment.

Buffer at 50% and full speed reverse playback. Nice organ sounds. This also has an EAD 4096 on infinite mode running into the GB24.

I keep meaning to make a template for the pedal so people can draw in their own settings, I might do that tonight so we can make little cheat sheets!

Posted in the pedalboard thread earlier today; knobs should be visible when zoomed in:

And found another G24 setting I REALLY like after rearranging things and adjusting the chain's order:

And perhaps it should be mentioned...this is a v1 (2s).

mine actually arrived yesterday. I've only played around with it for an hour or so, but so far I've managed to get pitch shifted organs, magic wands, dissonant octaves, and this ridiculously cool drum machine setting: one of
the pickups in my mustang is a teisco gold foil variant, so it's somewhat microphonic. I had the pedal set with the mix around equal, playback fully clockwise, buffer length around 2-3 and feedback around 9 or so. I would hit the
body, and have it come back around sounding like a maestro rhythm king (or funkbox as Sly called it). I'll try and make a recording of it. One thing I noted was the overall lo-fi quality to it, which isn't a bad
thing by any means; I like to imagine it as an old cassette filled with 50s b movie sci fi sound effects.
