Not going to post another picture (unless requested) as the only real change from the previous page is the chain's order/layout:

Harmonic Percolator > Shape EQ > Spring Chicken > TB loop (Muff+DMM) > Misty Cave > Goodbye 24 > DM-2 > Small Stone > Tremolessence

All going into the Infinity looper.

Been experimenting with the Shape EQ's switchable buffer...which greatly influences how the tall font Muff reacts.
Either way it's an :animal: but without buffer the bottom end is bigger and um....woofier; with buffer the high end sounds much more sparkly and alive.
If I'm just using the Muff and DMM or muff & reverb, I prefer it without buffer.
But soon as the Goodbye 24 and/or Small Stone get added, buffer-on seems to make its presence felt, the most...and for the better.

It's like a bucket, that you constantly fill with what you're playing. As it fills it empties too. One knob controls the bucket size, the other varies how fast you tip sounds out of the bucket, and what direction you tip the sound, and the other knob controls how much of the sound gets recycled out of the bucket and back in again.

Fourth knob is a mix knob

You can vary the size of the buffer (bucket in the analogy) so it's tiny and sounds like a ring mod, or tremolo, or longer like a delay.

By adjusting the rate the buffer plays back your delay can be unison or faster (pitch shifted up) slower (pitch shifted down) or forwards or backwards. Depending on the buffer size and play back you can get octave sounds or flangey sounds, or octave delays.

By adjusting the feedback you can get long delays or rainbow machine unicorn jizz.

The best thing is the algorithms are kinda lofi, so when feedback is low it sounds fairly pristine, but increasing the feedback introduces a bunch of great artefacts.

I could easily have three on a board, seriously. I can't even count how many radically different and useable sounds I can get out of this pedal.

I think we need a whole thread where you just describe what pedals do,

I'd be only to happy for folks to send me bajillions of cool pedals in return for a crappy description on a fuzz forum...

i agree goroth, that writeup was fantastic. :!!!:

I know you'll pay it forward, should you decide you're ready to move on to something else....but glad to see you're getting proper use out of it.
This current setup (of yours) looks like a real winner. Have you tried stacking D'N'F with Sugarboost? Looks like there's a perfect spot for it. :animal:

I love the empress dude! It's awesome, I still wish I had the superdelay though but if you're strapped for cash it's a great one still. (well $250 is still expensive but you know)

Oh I will dude, it's just even at what I got it for it's still more than I would like to spend on dirt but it's sooo awesome I can justify it.

Thanks dude

Don't sell your Drag N Fly! But if you do hit me up haha

Thanks I'm glad you're still finding a use for the bender. Do you like how I made it pretty high gain for you or would you rather it be less aggressive?
