Isn't that the official guitar forum for step dads?
If you're a step dad and into guitars, isn't it a requirement you register there?

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
The strat is a standard model in midnight wine and was my only guitar for about 6 years, it has a lace sensor blue on the neck cause the old pickup crapped out and it was the only thing i could find for cheap.
The jazzmaster on the left is new, I just bought it last week. I love the sound but it needs a set up, any advice for strings? I love daddarios 11 on my strat, should I go same or heavier gauge for the jazzmaster?

Thanks! I like guitars made of wood to look like wood. It's a thing. Guitars made of metal, now....Ancient Astronaught wrote:Wow!!! Those are gorgeous!!!

Nice. People usually recommend heavier gauges on Jazzies. I'd try the .11s you like first then go heavier if you need to.fantasmas wrote:The strat is a standard model in midnight wine and was my only guitar for about 6 years, it has a lace sensor blue on the neck cause the old pickup crapped out and it was the only thing i could find for cheap.

I've got .13's on my Jazzy right now. It's a little much. Thinking about dropping down to .12's possibly

I'm a total sucker for natural guts with black pick guards. Almost half of my guitars are natural blackguards I bet. Such a good look.Ancient Astronaught wrote:I know that feel bro:celticelk wrote:Thanks! I like guitars made of wood to look like wood. It's a thing. I made the switch down to 12s on my JM and Jag, a few weeks ago. (out of necessity)
NOPE. Not for me. Don't like it...
Not enough fight.
I'm curious to know if you can make the jump back.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Well what the string set actually is is a set of Heavy bottoms that I butchered, which is funny. Here are the gauges:
(omitted the .10 and put it on my Jag)
.13 .17 .22 (added a wound .22 in there) .30 .42 .52
I've got the Jazzmaster tuned to standard and it's a pretty definite struggle, more specifically with the .30 .42 and .52 moreso than the .13 .17 and .22
Alternatively, my Obstructures has not even slinky's
.12 .16 .22 .32 .44 .56
Which is JUST enough tension in B, it's funny how that works I guess.
My Jaguar has not even slinky's on it, but I broke the .12 so there is a .10 in its place. That's tuned to G# so there is BARELY any tension at all haha

Yeah, come to think of it, my amps are all natural, tweed and black too... Family pic would be fun! Might have to do that.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Same here my friend, such a good look, shit most of my rig is natural n black even my amps. Jesustittyfuckingchrist dude, you have got to stop posting your telemaster. I only have so much semen, and so many pairs of pants and it just isn't fair to open a page and unexpectedly jizz. Seriously. Stop. It's like you are raping me, though my GAS, but I'm having this physical reaction to it, so I'm confused, and I think I like it. But it is still non-consentual. But i came. But I didn't want to.Ancient Astronaught wrote:I know that feel bro:celticelk wrote:Thanks! I like guitars made of wood to look like wood. It's a thing. Anyway, if I had cash, I'd get one probably just the same as yours, but I'd have to opt for a bridge pup.
You fucker.
