anyway...been scrolling through the last few pages, and a lot to read...but Nick...i saw this post...and maybe i got it out of context, but i could help out if you want as far as financial advice - my day job is modelling out business plans etc...but in any case, I hope you don't mind me offering an idea...have you thought of an option where you secure a base line of revenue, which is based on low cost and reasonable revenue to fund the day to day of the business. This may be unpopular, but what you could do, is partner with a pedal/amp manufacturing company in china or somewhere similar to build lower quality pedals and low wattage amps, that although will have lower build quality and components, can still have the spirit of the Dunwich sound. Not only can you sell it under the Dunwich label, but you could also white label it which is a big money spinner. This allows you to run a business with very little overhead and no real fixed costs. Then you could do the custom high quality type work you are doing now and that would be cream on top as far as revenue goes.

that makes sense from a business perspective if i cared about money but i could not in my own conscience let dunwich go into half-assed poorly made junk. Its sort of my baby so I could not relinquish that kind of control to people who have no clue about it. (dont take this harshly, i am not offended by your very logical suggestion)

Yes, my girlfriend rules -- she very much enjoys Clutch, Baroness, & Torche, and LOVES Royal Thunder. She likes the more melodic stuff I listen to and has gone with me to see Royal Thunder, Pallbearer, & The Melvins before the Rock Fest, too. We plan on going to see Baroness and Torche whenever they come back to the area. She doesn't really like some of the more intense stuff I listen to so she'd probably just say "have fun!" if I went to go see, say, Pig Destroyer.

Vegas ruled. We stayed away from casinos and clubs for the most part and did more in-depth exploring. We went to In-N-Out Burger for my very first time (she's from LA so she demanded I get it... no complaints) and it was delicious.

We went to go see Absinthe, which kinda pokes fun at Cirque Du Soleil but has similar performers doing gymnastics/tightrope walking. It was a much smaller audience, and had some burlesque acts and a lot of raunchy jokes so it was a very cool and enjoyable experience.

We went to a tucked-away sushi restaurant in Chinatown that was absolutely the best sushi I have ever eaten. It was prepared one piece at a time for us and was chef's choice, and he gave us the most incredible slice of fatty tuna we've ever tasted.

We had a couples massage and spa morning the next day, and then had a killer burger and beer at a place called Holstein's on the Strip. As overpriced as it was, the burger was damn good. We checked out the arts district that night and went to a speakeasy called The Laundry Room and had some fancy whiskey cocktails.

Overall a pretty spectacular experience without dealing with too many assholes/bros.

Nick, have you given any thought to finding a couple other builders who could build your pedals at your standards and keep it going that way? I'd hate to see you let Dunwich die. For selfish reasons, I can't afford an amp from you now but would love a 200 watt monster Dunwich amp down the road. I hope you are still doing it by the time I can afford it.

Its not a bad idea to get other builders to do work but I dont have the ability to pay them out of my pocket so it runs into an issue concerning that. I will likely have pedals still being built, as I am already setting that up now but amps are probably a no go.

I was thinking you could establish the circuit, the aesthetics of the box, and make sure the wiring has those perfect right angle bends and such that you do. Dunwich wouldn't be dunwich without your OCD wiring They could build and sell them with you getting a %. That would free you up to do what I think you like best which is developing and tinkering.

Of course none of this is really our business, It's your baby to do with as you will. It'd just be a shame to see you stop especially now that you seem to have established a foothold as a quality builder.

Im taking orders and placing people on the waitlist, my comment is that there may come a time where I need to stop dunwich and people on the waitlist would not get amps. That sucks for folks but of course I dont take deposits so no money was lost.

HEY SKIP! thanks for making the map, ive been away form home for a few days. I kinda didnt zoom enough when i marked mine, so thats not EXACTLY where im at but whatevs, dont need you guys watching me change my panties....

OH YEAH, elder and windhand ruled. Windhands tone was gnarly, a bit messy and unclear, but super doombruutal. elders always good. Again hard to pick out everything hewas doin. He plays tons of cool chords and lots of fast notes that kind of dissapear in the flurry of rockin out. Met the guitarist, super nice guy, he saw me carrying a big black plastic pipe and was like "what is that for?" Doom pipe bro...

Singer form windhand didnt really seem to wanna chat much so I didnt stick around for too long. She prolly gets hit on by every dude ever at every show, I dont blame her haha.
